SOS -Secular for Sobriety- Save ourselves-has been around for 27 years. Another Violent Criminal Sentenced to AA meetings as Part of His Sentencing, Will this Judge send his Daughter to AA if she needs help someday?
A 45 year old Robert Herring is getting a plea agreement to particiapte in AA meetings instead of going to jail.
Maybe this judge needs to read the article about the Kristine and Saundra Cass murder in Hawaii.
I would not want to be holding hands with him at the end of a meeting or getting a ride from him if I were a young new comer.

I have heard it said, “it’s an outside issue”.
I have heard, we’re anonymous…to who…for what…
What if I am raped by an AA man with lot’s of sobriety. What if I am harassed over and over again by men in meetings? What does it mean to have the group be more important then the individual? Was Bill sane? Did you know he suffered from deep sever depression? How much LSD did he take and for how long? Are you looking for guidance for your group or your own life. Have you wondered if your backup found in the traditions might be clearly “wrong, outdated and possibly absurd?
I encourage to look at these with an OPEN MIND. Ask yourself, does this really make sense and are these tradition really true today? AFter 36 years…I think not. Join me for a vibrant discussion about the lies read over and over again in AA meetings.
Smart Recovery, Secular for Sobriety, and Women for Sobriety might be an option.

AA and NA are becoming more and more dangerous every day as there are no procedures and protocals for Safety of any kind in this 12 step culture of rouge indiviuals where the blind leads the blind. Once the gold standard of recovery many old timers are leaving for many reasons. This story is just one of them.
Fear not, there are other options. Smart Recovery, SOS, Women for Sobriety, and staying home with the family and reading a good book. Going to the Gym…PLaying a game with our children or grandchildren, Going to the movies.
