Woman in Covina raped by long time sober member of AA. Police arrest him.
For 8 months a sober member Of AA sat in small intimate rooms and meetings of alcoholics Anonymous pretending to be living a good life. As new young woman sat and raised their hands saying they were new, he would call out. There you go guys Go get em. Their yours. WTF is going on here. No one told him to Shut The F****K up. This is rediculous. AA members spending too many years listening to their own horror stories to the point that they have no reaction to horrible Stories.
Sick sick sick. And I am sick of what I’ve been hearing, but I can not make change by myself. We need an army.

Reminds me of an AA meeting I used to go to. When a woman shared she’d been raped, this man whom I had thought was so “spiritual” laughed. At another meeting, a man used to mutter about womens’ body parts whenever a woman spoke. No one told HIM to shut up, but some of the women became intimidated and stopped speaking.
I am not surprised, where else can old losers creeps go and be “accepted” ? Confusing for the recovering addict/alcoholic. The best advice I can give if you want to go to A.A. is go to ONLY women’s meetings, men stick with the men and do your best to align with someone to go with that can protect you, even if it is a normie friend until you get your head clear. My condolences to the victim and her family and to the others that are out there, I hear you…..Jesus!
