Where does your money go when you put it in the Basket at an AA Meeting?

Do you have a Central Office in your area. Is it run honestly?

Did you know that 12 AA Members in NY are being paid hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Six Million dollars a year is paid out to Alcoholics ANonymous employees. No one else gets paid anything!

  1. You have to keep in mind there is NO legal entity called Alcoholics Anonymous – none. So, everytime someone says AA does this, or AA does that, it is meaningless. From a legal perspective, there is only AAWS, GSB of AA, and AA Grapevine.

All financial information for these organizations is available online with the NY Sec of State – http://bartlett.oag.state.ny.us/Char_Forms/search_charities.jsp .

Few people actually look up anything to see the truth about what those charities report. It is evidently much easier to make shit up about their finances and spread rumors. Don’t be lazy, do the research, look it up, it isn’t that hard.

  2. 12 employees and other retirees are paid this staggering amount. $6,000,000 a year. But where is the detail published?
I don’t know. Does anyone know how we can get our hands on this document?

The Publishing arm pulls in some 6 Million a year.
Donations another average of 5-6 Million a year.

All your pennies, quarters and dollars sure do add up don’t they?

Now I understand why they want to sell Big Books to prisons and rehabs. Keeps them rolling in the cash.

Awareness is empowering and powerful. Every AA member has a right to know how our donations are spent. Do you know how they travel to Thailand each year?

    1. That’s why I left… These meetings which have stolen their structure from other areas of society… Are just making money off the backs of the vulnerable… Just like drug dealers and public houses….as well as the slime sneaks who pretend to like you and be your friend… So you put yourself in their dry houses. Just so they can claim funding off your vulnerability.
